River Guard is multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, actor, and classically trained opera singer, currently completing his Masters in Opera at U of Toronto. River performed as the lead singer and songwriter for the Hamilton band, Illusion Avenue for 5 years, and having just released his first album of unedited songs, Cascade. These songs were written during residency at The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and were recorded in different places in the wilderness with the sounds of wildlife in the background. River constantly works to improve his art and craft and is always looking for new projects and genres to challenge himself and grow as an artist.
