Jade Yu Han

Jade Yu Han creates artworks with an overarching interest in human relationships with the natural world, beauty in mortality, and memory vs empirical experience. Her work employs visual language that engages art-historic motifs and symbolism, with narratives that invite dialogues about modern femininity, feminism and identity. Received visual art and art history training at Brigham Young University and Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Jade is active in both curation and her own art practice in Toronto. Her recent body of work is focused on oil and gouache paintings, both in studio and plein air.
